We are a small ambitious team managing the DMC Nordic Greenland office in Nuuk, and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our daily operations in organizing exceptional tours for MICE and cruise groups in Greenland.
Job Description
The MICE Manager position primarily involves developing and maintaining a new client portfolio in a professional and creative manner within the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) sector. The manager will collaborate with a MICE coordinator but will be responsible for maintaining the main client contact.
Responsibilities as MICE Manager include:
Towards our clients
• Planning, advising, and crafting creative proposals tailored to the client’s needs.
• Taking responsibility of projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, negotiations, and contracts (with suppliers and clients), execution, and project closure.
• Booking and coordinating programs for clients, including arrangements for hotels, transportation, guides, attractions, team-building activities, and restaurants.
• Maintaining close and professional communication with the client before, during, and after the completion of the assignment.
• Building strong relationships with clients to showcase our excellent service and loyalty, understanding their needs, and striving to meet them.
Towards our suppliers
• Maintaining close communication and fostering a good ongoing collaboration with the company’s suppliers.
• Possessing a comprehensive understanding of suppliers, their products, and potential services to ensure the best outcomes for the client. This includes staying updated on Greenland as a tourist destination, particularly within the MICE sector.
Travel activity
• The position may involve travel activity domestically and internationally to ensure the successful execution of trips/programs for clients, courses, conferences, site inspections, client visits/sales trips/trade shows, and FAM trips.
Budgeting
• Budgeting for the MICE department’s markets, calculating sales prices, ensuring individual margins, invoicing, and follow-up on budgets.
General responsibilities and contribution to DMC Nordic
• Being supportive of colleagues and training new department staff.
• Contributing to the development and promotion of DMC Nordic Group as an organization and our products.
• Actively participating in DMC Nordic’s collaboration across the company’s offices throughout the Nordic region (we currently have offices in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Lithuania)
